Complete H-alpha solar telescope with 230mm aperture and a bandwidth of <0.5 Angstroms. With Feather-Touch focuser, innovative air pressure tuning system and B3400 blocking filter.
A extremely large telescope for observing the Sun in H-alpha wavelength, a precisely adjusted refractor with a free aperture of 230mm without central obstruction and 1610mm focal length. The telescope is equipped as standard with a double-stack system, two internal Etalon filters with the innovative air pressure tuning system Pressure-Tuner achieve a bandwidth of <0.5 Angstroms. The Pressure-Tuner system ensures a homogeneous H-alpha image and optimal performance. The Etalons are safely installed inside the telescope. The air pressure tuning system is precisely controlled by an electronic pressure tuner controller.
Blocking Filter is the B3400. The B3400 is well suited for imaging the Sun. For visual observation we recommend an additional zenith mirror. The straight extension tube, in which the blocking filter is installed, is equipped as standard with a 2" eyepiece holder and also with an adapter for 1.25". Focusing is done by the legendary Feather-Touch focuser from Starlight-Intruments with 10:1 reduction.

Spare part for Pressure-Tuner of MT and THa series H-alpha solar telescopes from LUNT SOLAR SYSTEMSTwo rubber O-rings are installed into the Pressure-Tuner of Lunt Solar Systems solar telescopes to seal the air-pressure tuning system. Over time, the rubber of this O-rings can age and become porous, whereby the air-pressure can then no longer be maintained. When this happens, a old O-ring can be replaced by this spare part. The replacement is simple and can be done by the user. Installation instructions can be found here under the tab "Manuals" as a PDF file for download.Please be sure to note:Depending on the production series, the diameters of the Pressure-Tuner pistons can vary slightly. There are pistons for O-rings with 32mm inner diameter and 40mm outer diameter, and pistons for O-rings with 34mm inner diameter and 42mm outer diameter. A very compact, complete telescope for observing the sun in H-alpha light.The LS50THa solar telescope offers 50 mm free aperture, 350 mm focal length, and provides a bandwidth of <0.75 Angstrom. The telescope is fitted as standard with the air-pressure tuning system "Pressure-Tuner", the Etalon is safely installed inside the telescope. Prominences and surface detail can quickly be viewed spontaneously. This very portable system is an ideal travel companion for wherever you go.A B600 blocking filter is installed inside the star diagonal. The B600 offers a larger field of view than the smaller B400 and is very good for visual solar observing. Focusing is achieved by a non-roting Helical focuser.Please note that there is only a small back-focus at this telescope, therefore solar-imaging is very difficult. The LS50THa is designed for visual solar observing. We recommend for imaging the 60mm telescopes of the LS60MT series.Also double-stacking with a bandwidth of only <0.5 Angstrom is possible by using the additional available LS50C filter (0550210). This filter threads directly onto the LS50THa telescope.
