Product information "Vixen Mobile Porta Mount Head"

The Vixen Mobile Porta mount head without a tripod is a small, portable travel mount for quick observations that does not require elaborate setup. The head can be attached to a standard photo tripod with 1/4- or 3/8-inch photo thread.

Thanks to its new, compact design and low weight, the mount is ready to use in just a few steps and is very portable. In addition, the new multi-arm can be adjusted from different angles, allowing for comfortable viewing at the zenith, even with longer telescopes. In addition to these new features, the mount of course includes the proven features of the Porta series, such as slip clutch and fine movement in both axes.

Easy Adjustment
The telescope can be freely moved by hand in all directions and automatically holds its position thanks to the slip clutch. This allows for quick and easy adjustment to the observation object. The new multi-arm can be adjusted from different angles allowing for a comfortable observation at the zenith, even with longer telescopes. It can be adjusted in 15-degree increments. Moreover, the multi-arm system allows the mount to be folded compactly for transport.

Vixen Dovetail Standard Mounting
Like all Vixen mounts, the Mobile Porta mount offers the Vixen world-standard dovetail adapter for telescope attachment. The telescope is simply clamped in the dovetail guide. The Mobile Porta mount is recommended for telescopes up to max. 3.5 kg.
