If you have a 7-in-1 ClimateScout Weather Station, this additional base station allows you to access the full range of functions and weather data in an additional room. For example, by placing the additional base station in your bedroom, you can view the measurements from your outdoor sensor and decide what to wear for the day based on the weather conditions. The original base station can then be kept in your living room to give everyone in your household an overview of the outdoor temperature, outdoor humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall, UV and light intensity. With this additional base station, you can see what the weather is doing from both rooms! The image plane of many telescopes is not plane, but curved. This results in a picture that has its optimal focus only in the center of the field of view - the edge of the field is out of focus and thus unsharp. The human eye is able to accomodate most of this but a camera will show stars that get increasingly unsharp towards the edge of the field. Apart from air turbulence, the brightening of the night sky is the greatest barrier to observing faint objects beyond the solar system. Due to streetlamps and other artificial lighting the sky in urban areas is no longer properly black. As a result, the contrast and thus the perception of deep-sky objects also suffer. However, depending on the type of celestial object, it is possible to filter out some of the interfering light making it easier to photograph the objects.The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC H-Alpha filter uses the characteristic of the so-called emission nebulae. These objects glow in certain colors, the so-called emission lines. The emission lines are associated with certain chemical elements - in this case the red glowing hydrogen. This filter blocks all other colors (and therefore almost all artificial light) and lets only the emission lines of hydrogen through. Especially the disturbing light of mercury and sodium vapor lamps is effectively blocked. The effect is amazing: Suddenly, nebulae become visible on the photos in places which appear completely empty without the filter.The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC H-Alpha Nebula Filter has been developed exclusively for astrophotography.
